Motion Jones is a singer/songwriter from Minnesota who currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona.  He has been writing songs for several different bands for over a decade.  Now solo, he has taken a lo-fi and minimalistic approach to his lyrically-driven, acoustic folk songs.

Motion Jones continues to offer up intimate, lyrically-centered songs on this latest collection. One Shy is an album of struggles, life's journey, and looking on the bright side. With this release, the hushed acoustic sound has been infused with some new sonic depth. Percussion, keys, and layers of harmonies give the album a more dynamic, upbeat feel.

Free Time and Baby Teeth is about nostalgia and coming to terms with adulthood in the modern world.  It was recorded in an apartment bathroom over a few months in the late fall of 2008.  With instrumentation often consisting of only an acoustic guitar and harmonizing baritone vocals, the minimalistic music hearkens to a simpler past.
