After the dissolution of Half Dug, Lewis Kuhlman continued working on bass and guitar riffs that he would eventually piece together for a collection of songs of his own. Dubbed Washing Away after the need for resolution and removal of hurt feelings and broken hearts, this project's main idea was to present the story of a love triangle that would eventually ruin friendships and tarnish memories.
Washing Away's first EP, Part One is the first of four collections of songs. These deal with the formation of the band and developing friendships.
